Fashion & Fun

The National Charity League (NCL) Surf Cities chapter recently presented its annual fashion show at the Cape Rey Carlsbad. This year’s theme was New York Fashion Week. Twenty-three girls from the class of 2019 took their turn in the spotlight on the runway, modeling several different scenes in front of an enthusiastic audience of over 450 guests. The fashion show embraces leadership training and teaches young women about the values of etiquette and poise. National Charity League is an organization for mothers and daughters in grades 7 through 12 that provides philanthropic, leadership, and cultural experiences to its members, and strives to meet the needs of the community. The Surf Cities chapter serves 23 local philanthropies within the local community, and last year, members volunteered nearly 6,000 hours.
